Getting Back on the Wagon

Hi friends!! Al here. It’s been a while, hasn’t it? Life has changed dramatically for me over this past year. I know I went silent out of nowhere, especially considering I was about to publish my second book, but I had a lot of internal things I needed to sort out between then and now.

To gingerly step out of character for a moment, I’ve felt like I’m walking a trapeese act between despair and epiphany almost daily. I am both on the brink of breaking out of my cocoon that I have been incubating in for so long, and fully falling apart at the seams. It’s been hard to put fingers to keys for a while, and part of that was coming out of a long stupor I’d imposed upon myself. Once I changed my situation, I guess my muse booked a flight to Dubai and has been there since. Not so much as a postcard.

But, all things in time. With that, your favorite cryptid is back! As mentioned earlier, I’ve been going through some changes, which includes how I view myself and my work. There was a long time where I hoped I could find the ideal publisher for my strange little niche of writing, but the more I look, the more I delay actually getting anything out. Everyone has some weird fineprint, quirk, or specific brand that I just don’t fit the parameters of, and whether that’s because I’m not a very good writer or because they’re too fussy, I can’t really answer. So, my plan going forward is to just go with the flow, self publish, advertise what I can on social media, and have a good time. I’ll be making the things I want to see in the world without ideas of grandeur. If something comes of it, great. If not, I did what made me happy, and that’s just as great.

I’ll also be using my brand for some other things. I’d like to write some fun, sometimes off-the-wall fanfiction AND check a different box of sexiness: Onlyfans. I have a body. People like bodies. Maybe people will like my weird cryptid body. Time will tell! I hope to have more details for publishing my next book and getting things off the ground with other sexy endeavors in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!
